Riverfront Mixed-Use Development

Riverfront Master Plan

Our master plan had a two-fold approach. Design for now and plan for later.

While working with Compton Engineering, CPLA took the current framework plan that they had mapped out, and developed a master plan to improve the waterfront edge, while planning for future development.

The master plan illustrates how the site could be developed with mixed-use structures, and how it connects with the walk along the river. We took the linear river walk, and brought it down to a more human scale with seat walls, pavement changes, and vertical shade elements. The plan addressed the creation of “rooms” along the waterfront walkway for smaller, more intimate gatherings. A Flagship Monument, to commemorate the Flagship City brand of Pascagoula is the internal focal structure of the site.
